FabFunky Dictionary Prints bring the eccentric side of 19th century Britain into your home. Intriguing, vibrant images set on a backdrop of wild Scottish folk tales, magical Celtic legends, or deliciously out-of-date English journals and dictionaries.
Every print is unique. Each one is hand-designed and printed onto the original page – no one else will have the same piece. Some have “foxing” age marks, others include authentic corporation seals in the corner. Yours may even have handwritten notes made by a 19th century reader.
Each print is hand signed by the artist, Kelly Stevens McLaughlan.
They look great on their own, and simply magnificent when displayed together.
You will receive the print on antique dictionary page mounted to artist board and matted to 14" x 11"/35.5x28 cm mount.
Made to order and printed straight onto real antique book pages from the early 19th century. The pages are mounted into a white/ivory coloured mat with a backing board and are ready for you to pop into your own frame. You will need a 14×11 inch frame, which is a standard size in the UK and US. Mounted prints come with a certificate of authenticity to show that this is a genuine FabFunky item direct from our studios, which is personally signed by the artist on the rear of the mount. Approx 14×11 inch / 35.56×28 cm. See images for example.
These pages have aged over time to a beautiful mellow ivory patina and provide a perfect and unusual backdrop for our images. Since we use genuine antique books some of our pages may have irregularities and age marks, which of course adds to their charm and vintage authenticity.
The mats are Ivory. Prints are unframed.
